How to Beat the heat on the course

With summer in full affect and most of the day is unbearably warm, golfing is much more exhausting. If you are like most of us, you are always trying to find a way to stay cool on the course. Keep reading because we got tips the will keep you cool.

One of the most useful tips that can be helpful anywhere not just on the course is to be prepared for the weather. the better prepared you are the better chances you have at not letting the weather get to you.

It is very important to wear the correct clothing. on very sunny warm days you want an outfit the doesn't attract heat so dress in lighter closer. Also wear breathable fabrics. You dont just want something that is light material but also flowy so it doesn't stick to your body and wind can pass through. Make sure you are protected in the sun as well, either apply sunscreen or wear arm covering and expose as little skin has possible. Although you might sweat more, you skin wont feel the direct temperature which is very impactful to staying cool.

Remember to always wear a hat. Your normal golf hat is fine but if you want maximum coverage and to keep your body out of the sun. Go get yourself a bucket hat or any hat that surrounds your entire head with a bill. Its not just about avoiding sunburn, you also need to keep your energy levels up. Check out our store for a hat that will fit your style.

Staying hydrated can seem like a no brainer but drinking a lot of water wont keep you cool. Your body needs vitamins and minerals, make sure to get your electrolytes. You will also want to keep a full stomach, you dont want to be starving on the course and make your body work more to sustain your playing levels. The more unnecessary energy your body has to use, the more heat you will produce so you will feel warmer.

It may seem silly but make sure you warm up but keep it at a minimum because you dont want to overwork yourself. The reason you want to warm up just a little is because you dont want to over exert yourself on your first couple swings and getting you body temperature up and now you dont have a way to cool it down.

Golfing in hot weather can be just as fun as golfing in cooler temperatures just as long as you are prepared for the hot temperatures and have the right mind set. Don't go out dreading the heating, just take the hot weather as a normal day on the course, your body will thank you later.
